Market Square Revitalization Program

Comprehensive redevelopment for existing shopping centers

The Market Square Revitalization Program targets shopping centers built in the 1990s and early 2000s that have lost relevance due to changing consumer habits. LeleMall conducts a thorough audit of the property's layout, tenant mix, and foot traffic patterns, then proposes a phased renovation plan that includes new common areas, digital wayfinding, and flexible pop-up zones. The program also incorporates sustainability upgrades like solar canopies and rainwater harvesting. One recent implementation in Durban resulted in a 35% increase in lease renewals and a 25% rise in overall sales within 18 months.

Terms & Clarifications

1. Scope of Services. LeleMall provides retail destination consulting, community marketplace activation, and commercial space development. Any specific deliverables, timelines, or performance metrics must be agreed upon in a separate written engagement letter. This section does not constitute a binding offer.

2. Activation vs. Consulting. “Activation” refers to the hands-on coordination of pop-up events, tenant curation, and marketing for a defined period. “Consulting” refers to advisory services including feasibility studies, design recommendations, and strategic planning. These terms are not interchangeable unless explicitly stated in the project scope.

3. Revitalization Phases. The Market Square Revitalization Program is delivered in distinct phases: audit, planning, renovation, and post-launch evaluation. Each phase must be approved by the client before proceeding. Results such as foot traffic increases or lease renewals are based on past projects and are not guaranteed outcomes.

4. Cultural Corridor Scope. Cultural Corridor Consulting includes stakeholder engagement, public art coordination, and tenant mix strategy. LeleMall does not directly commission artists or manage construction contracts unless separately arranged. All art installations require local municipality approval.

5. Data & Reporting. Any metrics referenced (e.g., “40% increase in foot traffic”) are drawn from LeleMall’s internal case studies and may not reflect future performance. Clients receive anonymized aggregate data unless a bespoke reporting agreement is signed.

6. Intellectual Property. All plans, designs, and strategies developed by LeleMall remain the intellectual property of LeleMall until full payment is received. Upon payment, the client receives a non-exclusive license to use the deliverables for the intended project only.
